Abstract
Don Bosco with his life experience as an educator demonstrates how successful education is at the same time quality education. In various settings he was constantly an educator. The following factors are required for a good education: a good educator, a good educational atmosphere, a good educational program and educational experience. Don Bosco's criterion in education is the development of positive desires which are present in youth. This includes culture and offering a faith experience. Youth are to be included in the social reality and he should be assisted in becoming an active and useful worker, responsible for the common good and active in a life of peace. A difficult aspect in education is communication. Don Bosco teaches us that a good educator accepts youth the way they are. This is demonstrated by the educator in his willingness to spend time with the youth and his joy when he is with the youth; the educator places trust in their capabilities, tolerates their trends and forgives that which is not intentional. He is always with the youth, he is kind, knows how to and when to demonstrate his authority, he is direct and clear and understands well the times in which we live. He recalls don Bosco's words: "The youth must feel that they are loved." He approaches the youth, employs the preventive system and offers creative activities for leisure time. The Salesian educational system is proof that the educator is also an evangelizer.
