Abstract

The author presents an appropriate model, in which gravity is neglected, as applied in the study of response of reinforced-concrete slabs to impact load caused by explosions at small distances. Impact wave parameters are modeled using the "cubic root" principle. Comparative results obtained on models made in two different scales are presented. At that, the following parameters were observed: sample modeling, impact load, deflection, and local and global sample damage.
