Abstract

The paper discusses the issue of how to prepare individuals for social involvement in a multicultural society. The author finds that non-involvement due to a lack of interest is still typical of transitional countries. Christian humanism in a multicultural society is a path that leads to involvement. The homogeneity of the family and solidarity play an important role in the process. Forming public opinion is a very important task for Christianity. Education and media pedagogy are crucial for the process. The paper proceeds to discuss the role of the Church in building a righteous society and then critically analyses the relation between moral and politics. It ends in a discussion on social involvement in a pluralistic society in the context of the theological importance of social education.
