Abstract

From the material including 775 samples collected with regard to endodontic treatment, 360 microbic strata were isolated, out of which 46 (12,78%) were staphyloccoci. Staphyloccoci and Gram negative bacteria were almost equally represented in the entire material. In the material sampled during extractions Gram negative bacteria were most frequently found, while staphyloccoci were more frequent in endodontic material. Ho¬wever, in cases of exacerbated periapical inflammations more Gram negative bacteria than staphyloccoci were isolated from the root-canal during endodontic treatment. Staphyloccoci showed the highest sensitivity to amplicilline and erythromicine, while kloxsacilline showed a low effect on coagulase negative staphyloccoci.
