Abstract
The paper deals with the carriage of passengers by sea in the Mediterranean in the 1930's.
The establishment of the Yugoslav Lloyd Shipping Company has been described as well as its operation through its steamship cruises.
The respective travel books and contemporary documents have been mentioned as well.
The paper follows the exhibition entitled „Lloyd’s Pictographs“ held at the Dubrovnik Museums’ Maritime Museum.
