COMPREHENSIVE APPROACH TO THE FORMATION OF ADDICTION PREVENTION PROGRAMS

Abstract

In comprehensive approach to program formation, we have chosen an approach recommended by European Monitoring Centre for Drugs and Drug Addiction. In this approach, the processes of planning and evaluation of prevention are linked in the logical model consisting of seven coherent and interconnected components. The components are in mutual correlation and emerge from one another: needs assessment; defining goals, working hypothesis and contents; selectingt preventive strategies and delivery; feasibility check; implementation and process evaluation; outcome evaluation and wrap-up and conclusion.
