Abstract

Violence in the mass media is not just a copy of violence from real life of persons or society, because the mediation of the violence by the mass-media, gives to the violence new functions and meanings.
The speech about the influence of the media presupposes the understanding of the function and the particularity of a certain media, the meaning of the media for a particular person and a wider social milieu, and also an understanding of the dynamics developed by the consummation of the specific media. One of the important characteristics of the video-games is their interactivity. The one playing is not just a passive observer of what is going on on the screen, but actively "participates", significantly affecting the course and the result of the game. The virtual world of video-games as a new ambient offers new experiences, and is still an unexplored field, remaining a challenge for new studies. The influences or consequences of violent video-games on the everyday life, depends on complex processes of the dynamics of interaction between the virtual and the real world.
