Abstract
main activities of physical and rehabilitation medicine and subspecialty internal medicine. Physicians with subspecialty in rheumatology provide health care at the secondary and tertiary level of health care through outpatient and inpatient (hospital) treatment. The aim of the study was to analyze the use of hospital and outpatient treatment of patients aged 18-65 with diagnosed RA, PA and AS in Croatia during 2009 and 2010. Comparing the data on the use of health care during 2010 with data for 2009, a slight decrease in the number of cases of hospitalization was found (-4.8%), as well as the cost of this form of treatment, while at the same time the number of patients using ambulatory health care was increased (outpatient ambulatory treatment for 0.9% and physical therapy for 7.9%).
