Abstract

The paper is a contribution to the present efforts to help explain, by way of critical evaluation and scientific methods, the colonisation processes that took place on the territory of Yugoslavia between 1918 and 1945. Proceeding from the fact that these colonisation processes occurred in two opposite socio-political systems (the bourgeois and socialist systems), the author has attempted to show their basic causes and the effects that each and both of them exerted in regard to the economic, political and demographic changes in this geopolitical space.
