Abstract

Notwithstanding the fact that this year's research was somewhat reduced due to unfavourable weather conditions, the eight season of systematic archaeological investigations allowed us to define another refuse pit (the first was investigated in 2012) and another larger space, in □ G/F 6-8, used as a dump for kiln refuse (charcoal). However, the finds suggest that this was also a place for the waste created during the repairs of the kiln, as well as during the firing of pottery. A similar situation was observed in 2011 in □ H 11. The primary and cabinet processing of finds, carried out intensively in the museum depository over a ten-day period, marked a significant leap forward in the processing of the site assemblage. Due to the abundance of the assemblage, which presently amounts to dozens of tons, the processing of finds is slow and lags behind fieldwork. This year's work on the finds enabled us to finish the cabinet processing of finds from the 2009 campaign, the processing of 2.3 tons of finds from 2010, and the primary processing of the finds from the 2012 season.
