Abstract
The need for teaching and learning entrepreneurship in educational institutions, aimed to prepare children and youngsters for life and professional development in today’s and future social and market conditions is no longer questionable. We ‘only’ have to find the best answers to the questions as to what, how and when to educate students in primary and secondary schools, how to create adequate, entrepreneurially oriented curriculums, and achieve that the professional, programming, organizational and material resources of our schools have desired educational outcomes. This paper is an original authors’ proposal for modular training of school teachers, as well as future teachers, that would imply developing of their own entrepreneurial knowledge and skills, the lack of which would mean failure of expected entrepreneurial influences, and their competencies for the development of entrepreneurial abilities with pupils through introducing specific targeted activities and teaching methods, of course, all in a stimulating school climate and cooperation at school and school environment levels. One of the main pre-conditions for entrepreneurial education of students will thus be provided, focusing primarily on the development of their entrepreneurial/psychological characteristics, then also on gaining basic entrepreneurial experiences, knowledge and skills. By this work, we wish to contribute to the implementation of National Strategy of Entrepreneurial Learning 2010 - 2014 by the Government of the Republic of Croatia from May, 2010, developing measures from the Action Plan intended for entrepreneurial education at schools andteacher training colleges.
