Abstract
An entrepreneur is a person gifted with business spirit and management skills, always awake and ready to take advantages of new business opportunities by combining the relevant factors of production and determined to take a risk in managing organization on the basis of permanent development and innovation, in order to create new value. Entrepreneur has specific personal characteristics. He/She combines knowledge of specific sector in which an entrepreneurial venture takes place, general management skills, personal management skills and personal motivation in a right proportion. There are different typologies of entrepreneurs; in the literature, rarely mentioned is the typology according to the criteria of constitutionally- mental characteristics of entrepreneurs, and towards it most successful entrepreneurs in Serbia, usually belong to the thin-impulsive type, subtype homeopathy - Nux vomica. Approach to the analysis of entrepreneurs based on the personality means to take into account the personality characteristics of entrepreneurs, as well as character traits. Converting business opportunities with good market chances into reality, requires two categories of skill: general management skills necessary to bring balance in (physical and financial) resources necessary to start business and personal management skills, without which one can not imagine running a successful organization. Only those, who are ready for lifelong learning and investing time and effort to increase their knowledge and competence will be successful long-term.
