Abstract

In this work, the analysis of mean diurnal, annual and periodic sea level data along east coast of Adriatic Sea with minimum and maximum values of registered sea tides is given. Mechanical and pressure sea level measuring instruments are described with special accent to tide gauge stations location selection. As a method of Earth’s form changing data gathering, when speaking of water masses, satellite altimetry is described. Methods of mean diurnal, annual and periodic sea level calculations through direct adjustment of measured data with given accuracy are described as well. Through the analysis, mean diurnal and annual values from year 1953 to 2006 and for the period of 18.61 years of sea level are shown.
