Abstract

The advancement in tuberculosis control in the recent years in Croatia is especially noticeable in comparison with the situation when tuberculosis as a social burden had to be expressed in the number deaths from the disease. However, the awareness about tuberculosis as a global problem still today requires constant caution and careful evaluation of the measures and instruments available for fight against tuberculosis that has appeared as an evasive enemy and succeeded to avoid our final goal, that is, tuberculosis eradication.
