Abstract

The paper reviews the latest trends in the field of PET packaging manufacturing, with special emphasis on its application in the food industry. The most important factors influencing the packed content in PET bottles are specified, as well as the procedure for their manufacture by injection stretch blow moulding. Also, possible procedures of enhancing PET bottles barrier properties and possibilities of their recovery are described.
