Abstract
The adsorptive-catalytic voltammetry of Cr(VI) and total chromium using DTPA is optimized for application to estuarine waters with high content of dissolved organic substances. The sensitivity of the method, better than 2 nA nM-1 s'1, is adequate to the intended goal of speciation. However, the instability of Cr(VT) in the presence of organic material imposes restrictions to the use of this methodology in large scale surveys and monitoring activities.
