Abstract

Hel photoelectron spectra of some chromanone and chromone derivatives (flavanone, isoflavanone, flavone and isoflavone), their thio analogues, and sulfoxide and sulfone derivatives, respectively, have been measured in the gas phase and the data evaluated by means of semiempirical molecular orbital evaluations (HAM/3 and CNDO/S) and by the PMO theory.
