Abstract

The Centre for protection of nature of the Nordrhein-Westfalen district represents the exemplary organisational structure, structure of staff, basic tasks and program structure of other German establishments concerned with education in the field of protection of nature. Apart from the district (statal) educational establishments there are regional and communal ones. The estabishments are acting independently from classic education institutions as: schools, faculties, open universities and political schools.
The most significant tasks of these educational institutions are: scientific and expert advancement aiming at a definite group, or different services and associations for the protection of nature, agriculture, communal utilities services, tourism or at persons responsible for expanding the knowledge: teachers, newspapermen, political mandators, decision making authorities etc.; then there comes the formulating of concepts and organisation of expert education, as well as the work with the public etc.
