Abstract

Dioxin is estemated as one of the most toxicant compound ever made. It is 2000 times stronger toxin than strychnine, and it is about 150 000 times stronger than sodium–cyanide. It has a great stability in the environment and bioaccumulative capability in an organisme. The incinerating plants are identified as the biggest discharge of dioxin in the environment. PCDD & PCDFs develop also in a strimg of other burning processes out of incinerating plants of dangerous collect waste, recycling metals, burning of wood, fires over the industrial production of pesticides, dissolutions, polyvinyl (PVC), and all up to industrial production of textile fabric and paper.
Due to the fact that dioxin is one of the strongest toxicants its elimination is recognized as a priority from the United Nations since 1995.
