Abstract

The author attributes the Anunnciation of Veneto-Cretan school from the Mimara Museum in Zagreb to the relatively unknown 17th century painter Giorgio Margazinis. This attribution is a suggestion and a hypothesis for the final attribution of the Zagreb painting. Since only two works by Giorgio Margazinis are known to us, the author considers the Morellian details as weak and daring arguments regarding this attribution.
