Abstract

This research tries to determine the efficiency a form of electrotherapy in treating
the painful shoulder syndrome: interferential current therapy.
The research com pri sed 26 patients who were treated by l O treatments with
interference cun·ent, having in addition individual physical training (corrective exercises)
for each patient in the group.
The efficiency regarding of l O procedures were observed on the basis of objective
measurable parameters (abduction, anteflexion, retroflexion, outer and irmer rotation, the
distance between vertebrae prominens and styloid radius) as well as in view of
anamnestic terms (pain both at rest and in motion) recorded before the treatment started
and after the application of ten therapeutic procedures.
The statistic results of data processing showed significant difference in the
functional capacity of the shoulder, regarding the objective parameters, after ten
procedures.
Interference current treatment proved a very efficient in reducing pain also.

Keywords
