Abstract

Diadynamic currents, modulation Ill/IV were applied in treatment of 25 patients with
cervical and the same number of patients with lumbar vertebral pain syndrome. Average age in
both groups was al most the same with the highest prevalence in the and after the tratrnent (l O
daily procedures). Improvement of pain sensation, pain on palpation, pain during the night, and
pain during performing movements were found in both groups. Range of motion (inclination and
reclination) was also better. Self assessment of the efficacy made by patients themseves and
physiotherapists showed positive results, too.
Generally, the effect of diadynamic currents was very good, and something better in
cervical syndrome comparing to lumbar pain syndrome.
