REHABILITATION BY HYPOBARIC THERAPY FOLLOWING THE FRACTURE OF THE RADil LOCO TYPICO

Abstract

The hypobaric therapy has been aplied in rehabilitating 30 patients with the
fracture of the radii loco typico. It has been observed that this kind of treatment not
only considerably decreases the pain both when the hand is at rest and during the wrist's
movement, but also significantly increases the wirst's functional capacity.
The treatment has been performed by the use of Vacusac Mk4 of Danish made,
being applied 20 times consecutively, each treatment of 15 minutes duration.
The undesirable effect of hypobaric therapy has been shown in five· pati en ts who
complained of increased pain in the trauma spot.
