Intending to discover precipitating factors in psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis, we
have examined 93cases, 64 ma les and 29 females with the certain diagnosis ofpsoriatic
arthritis. An average age of female patients, during th~ pe riod of examination, was
48,5 years and of male patients 44,5 years.
We have discovered precipitating factors of psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis in ll
cases (11,8%), both male and female., in 6 examined cases (6.5%) (3 female and 3
male) for psoriasis and in 5 examined cases (5,49t) (only mal es) fo r psoriatic arthritis.
Stress, trauma, illness and pregnancy were discovered as preci pita ting factors.
Also, analysing an age of 93 examined cases during the appereance of psoriasis.
we discovered that il's frequency is the same in the age of 10-~9 years. ln that period
psoriasis has been registered at 78 pmients (83,9(? ). Howcn:r it should bc pointed

at males in two life periods: 20-29 years (23,59i.) and ~0-~9 years (25'; ).
