Abstract

We examinated the f r equency of painful v ertebral
syndromes and dege n erative changes depending on the sex
and postural s training during everyday work.
There were 88 p a tient s , 24 men a n d 64 women inclu ded
into the study. The average age of men was 43 ard
of women 4 0 ,6 year s . 73 (82, 9% ) patients were employe~
22 men (91,7%) and 51 women (79,7%). 52,3% patients
were pe r formi n g t h eir everyday job in the sitting pos ition.
Cervical syn drome was found in 71,67. and lumbar
syndrome in 5 07. patients. Relating to the se~ cervica1
syndrome was found in 82,8% of female and lumbar syndrome
in 70,87. of male population.
The X-ray have shown uncarthrosis in 80,67., thoracic
spondylosis in 66,7% and lumbar chondrosis in 53,67.
cases.
Conclusion: cervical syndrome was manifested more
often in women and lumbar syndrome in men. Unnatural
pos ture with cons.tant s training on the working pla ces ,
with radiological vertebral changes , significantly in-
.fluence u pon the clinica l man ifestation of syndromes.
