Abstract

The local speech of Brseč belongs to the north-eastern Istrian subdialect
of the Ekavian-čakavian dialect. The paper presents the phonological characteristics of the local speech of Brseč. The analysis contains inventory, distribution and origin of prosody, vocals and consonants.
