PHILOSOPHY AND EDUCATION – RUSSELL'S CONTRIBUTION

Abstract
In this paper the author discusses Russell's attitudes toward nature and subject of philosophy, explains the genesis of Russell's aspirations to constitute philosophy as a science in order to point out the specific value issues. From Russell's point of view of the task of philosophy, that cognitive aspirations concerning many questions should be special way of investigating and open space for questionability and criticism, one can emphasize the role of education and society in promoting free and more responsible efforts for making a better world.
