GLOBE PROGRAM (Comprehensive learning and perception for the welfare of the environment)

Abstract
GLOBE is a scientific and educational project which point of interest are environmental concerns, and it is intended for elementary and high school pupils. Within the GLOBE program the pupils measure and record the data immediately from the environment (meteorological, hydrological, biological data, etc.) and send the data to the American scientific base. Collected data can serve scientists for better understanding, interpreting and modeling changes in global environment. Communication between the pupils and scientists is realized over internet, and in this way the GLOBE data are accessible to everyone. By participating in this program the pupils acquire new knowledge on the environment and develop positive attitude toward nature that surrounds us.
