Abstract

With the exploitation of machine parts due to friction on the surface, there is a change of geometry shapes. While examining the economic feasibility of replacing the existing position (shaft nut and screw presses) it was concluded that the most cost-effective investment is creating a new parent to an existing shaft. Before starting to produce nuts, it was necessary to compare the existing screw spindle presses with an existing CAD model. A comparison of measurements led to the conclusion that it is necessary to create a new nut down on the most depleted spindle.
After just a few hours a cloud of points back screw presses was produced. Afterwards, a polygonization point cloud was made and the result was a STL model. The last step was the development of measurement reports, i.e. matching the measured data with the CAD model.
