Abstract

This article deals with Čakavian and Štokavian components of Ivanišević’s literary language and different discourses (epistolographic, religious, polemical, allegorical) in Kita cvita razlikova. The analysis showed that Ivanišević was, despite štokavisms, a Čakavian poet of the 17th century and his language use has no similarities with the efforts and linguistics orientation of some Croatian writers (e.g. Kanavelić, Kavanjin, Dražić).
