Abstract

Trial excavations at Sveta Trojica hillfort near Starigrad Paklenica were conducted in early October 2014. Two trenches were opened (8 and 9) on the central plateau of the hillfort, near the southeast entrance and close to the northern rampart. Both trenches provided a large quantity of pottery and a smaller portion of metal finds, most notably, aes formatum, fragments of type Certosa fibulae and a bronze ring. Pottery finds include amphoras and various roughly manufactured pots, as well as a mobile furnace, whorl, pyramidal weights and spools.
