Abstract
During October 2014, the Institute of Archaeology, with the cooperation of Našice Local History Museum, conducted a field survey of Koška municipality. This field survey was carried out within the “Strategic use of landscape“ project (IP-11-2013-3700) financed by the Croatian Science Foundation. Areas around Gornja Jasenovica canal, south of Koška site and west of Ordanja village were surveyed. Several new sites were determined: Grabik 1, Grabik 2, Grabik 3, Kanal Balvančić/Markov put and Vrtić 1, Vrtić 2 i Vrtić 3 (fig. 1).
All sites, except Vrtić 3, yielded prehistoric finds. The biggest concentration of prehistoric finds was at Grabik 1 (Neolithic, Bronze Age), Grabik 2 (Eneolithic, middle and late Bronze Age) and Kanal Balvančić/Markov put sites (northern part). Early medieval finds were present at Grabik 2 and Kanal Balvančić/Markov put sites (southern part), while late medieval finds were present at Grabik 1, Grabik 2, Kanal Balvančić/Markov put, Vrtić 1, Vrtić 2 and Vrtić 3 sites. Ochre painted Gothic pottery was found at Kanal Balvančić/Markov put (northern part) and Vrtić 1 sites. Early modern period pottery was found at Grabik 1, Grabik 2 and Grabik 3 sites. One fragment, probably from the Ottoman period, was found at Grabik 2 site.
