Abstract

The results of complex and retrogressive landslide investigation on the road LC37128 Bastajski Brđani - Veliki Miletinac are presented along with several possible solutions of landslide remediation. In order to define sliding surface and to obtain the detailed description of the investigated location, detailed geotechnical investigations were carried out: geomechanical core drilling, engineering-geological mapping, geoelectrical tomography, inclinometer measurements with previously geodetic survey of the field. A detailed hydrogeological map of the investigated area was developed, based on the measurement of groundwater levels in old abandoned wells, in the drilling boreholes and by mapping of existing water sources. The data on the type and physical-mechanical characteristics of the soil, layers distribution and thickness, hydrogeological conditions were obtained based on field investigations. All these data, along with the already mentioned EG mapping, enabled the establishment of engineering-geological model of the slope and slip mechanism, as well as thedefinition of possible remediation solutions. Presented investigation shows that there must be a precise program of investigation methods to be implemented at each investigated landslide in order to achieve a reliable dana as well as remediation project.
