Abstract

Cultural heritage is a reflexion of life in a community and has been developed as a result of many historical turmoils. As such, it is in research focus of many scientific disciplines. Without understanding of culturally determined conditions, it is impossible to realize the history and development of nations and societies. Furthermore, as culture presents the basic anthropological communication, without culture one cannot even live in a community. Many forms of cultural heritage involve different historical meanings which deepen the cognizance of reality and shape one´s identity. To understand heritage means to enter its communication code, i.e. its communication game which, within the dynamics of relations, refines one´s personality and plays a key role in establishing cultural identity. Contact of heritage and art has an indispensable role in cultivating children´s spirit. Communication heritage - child - art presents for a child her/ his own way of experiencing the heritage because the child´s art expression has always been a strong reflection of the child´s personality. This paper discusses the relation child - art- heritage as a basis for the integral development of the child´s personality.
