Abstract

collectio» of Branislav Gl>c>»ac, 1> u>vitev, in Virovifica,
n >as first public/) p resented in 1983. Since tlren,
the collectlo>l has been fncllcđed ln the pe>'»la»ent exhibition
of the Vi ro>ilica Do>nicile Muse>c»l located in the uvonderful
premises of the Pejačević Castle. The collection has been
displayed on the first floor of the Pejače>tć Castle, built in
1804 according to N. Roth's design, in the classicist-baroque
style, representing a rcnique and»leani»gfrcl »luseum vrben
viewed as a» hole. Bra»is/a> G/mac, a đo»a>or (a Virovitica
man hi>nself) has prese»ted his native to»n ui t h a vich
collection of vahcable vvorks of art belo»gi>rg to recent styles,
mostly by Croatian artiste. The collect>on contalns painfings
and scrclptures by many fa>»ous artists of > arious generalions
and slylistic prove»ance, f vo»r the past fe» > decades.
At present, about 120 original uvorks of art are exhlbited
in the Vivovitica Mr>seu>n, whi/e the value of the collect>
on ls both qlcalitatiuely and q»ant>lat>vely on an almost
dai/u increase.
