Abstract

The qualification for the use of contemporary technologies in education is considered an extremely important teachers’ competence today. Understanding the importance of its use has resulted in moves in approaches to teaching, changes in methods and forms of work, as well as in leaving the exclusively traditional ways of knowledge transfer and acquisition. Along with the professional-music competencies, the skill of using information-communication technologies is among the competencies expected from students after completing their graduate study of music pedagogy at the Music Academy of the University of Pula. At music-pedagogic and musicological courses, including the course Knowledge of Music Literature aiming at the advancement and modernisation
of music education, students deal with designing their own multimedia projects. This paper presents the web and mobile application AMusEd with the basic purpose of an easier and faster acquisition of information about composers, works of music and their
components, as well as the popularization of art music.
