Abstract

Analytical and Utopian interactionism are two orientations in the contemporary sociology which, in a certain way, repeat the history of macrosociology: by studying the aspects of limited and unlimited forms of social structures. The question is whether microsociological approaches bring any novelty in relations to the macrosociological ones regarding the possibilities of those that take part in creating such situations that would surpass the structural determinism. The theories of »dualistic« societies have been specially analyzed and critically evaluated. It is then said that they have not brought anything new but merly have given more nuances to the old dichotomy of »Gesellschaft-Gemeinschaft« (Society — Community).
Furthermore, the author displays his own ideas on the Utopian interaction and clarifies the possible moral, familial, cultural and interactional features of community which are based on previously opposed principles of individual freedom as well as social closeness — equality.
