Urbanity and the Anti-Urban Tendencies

Abstract

The author discusses the problem of operationalization of the notion of urbanity. Developing its urbanist, sociological, civilizational, but also its colloquial meaning, the author emphasizes different tendencies with continuously put into question urbanity as a way of living. The author especialyl critically discusses the different concepts of Le Corbusier and his adherents and proponents.
