Abstract

This paper presents results of measurements that show the benefit of the microclimate chambers at the stabilisation of relative humidity. Intriguing, data logger in the Museum of the Dominican Monastery in Dubrovnik registered two sudden, strange oscillations in the microclimate chamber that protects one of the renaissance paintings on wood. Since oscillations happened twice in the four months and nothing similar happened during 14 years of measurements in the same place, it was found worth of investigation. The purpose of the present paper is to explore the circumstances of such measurement results and find out what happened and what to do to avoid such oscillations in the future.
