Scintigraphic changes in the bones and joints of the arms among tunnel workers with vibration disease

Abstract

The preliminary results of a scintigraphic examination of 20 workers with vibration disease are presented. The findings were pathological in 75% of the bone scintigrarns. The scintigraphic findings correlated with the radiographic ones in 75% of the workers. The scintigraphic evaluation of skeletal lesions induced by vibrations and its role in the prevention of workers' disability are discussed.
