Abstract

The authors discuss the basic elements of the anaesthesiological reanimation doctrine in the treatment of acute intoxications due to ingestion of noncorrosive poisonous substances. By analysing 128 cases of poisoning they emphasize the importance of the anaesthesiologist in the doctor's team providing medical care to intoxicated patients.
