Abstract

This paper is based on field research regarding phraseological material in
the speech of Komin, specifically analysing idioms that have a zoonymic component.
Special focus is given to the frequency of using particular zoonyms
and the distribution of the ratio between hyperonymic and hyponymic components
found in the Komin dialect, as well as in other Croatian local dialects,
thus contributing to the description of local and regional idioms.
