Abstract

The performed investigations involved measurement of seismic impacts induced by blasting (an explosion) in a minefield located within the concession borders of the limestone mine "Govrlevo"; processing, analysis and interpretation of the records, determination of vibration intensities and evaluation of their potential harmful effects upon people and material property in accordance with the current legal regulations and standards. Since the normative framework of Macedonia inadequately cover the considered field, measurements and their interpretation were done in compliance with DIN 4150-3: 1993 and BS 6472-2: 2006 standards, and WAC 296-52-67065, USBM: RI 8507 and OSMRE: CFR Part 816.67 (D) Rules and Recommendations.
