Abstract

Wood Leopard Moth represents a dangerous pest that occasionaly causes severe damages to fruit crops in the area of Herzegovina. In recent years it frequently occurs in young plantations arising with eradication of undergrowth which are surrounded by maquis and especially in mixed orchards. It is omnivorous and it is typical pest of wood. It attacks representatives of more than thirty botanical families and almost all kinds of fruit trees. Curative control of this pest gives unsatisfied results, so in recent times for the detection and mass catch have been using pheromone traps more and more.
