Abstract

Water is one of the factors which condition plant’s life, so its development is impossible without it. Water is integral part of the plant material and a carrier of many physiological processes during vegetation. Terms of irrigating vegetable crops depend on conditions of plant’s life, its developmental phases and production goals that have been set. Regarding irrigation in floriculture, it can be emphasized that each flower kind has its special irrigation requirements and it also depends on the space where irrigation is performed – open or closed space. Localized irrigation is used most, by mini sprinklers and drip irrigation.
