Abstract

Irrigation is amelioration measure which supplements natural precipitation when there is no enough water in the soil during vegetation for the normal growth and development of cultivated cultures. This measure is very important in modern agricultural production, especially on agricultural areas with regulated drainage. When used correctly, it is possible to achieve a more advanced cultivation with high and quality yields. Even though irrigation is as old as human civilization, it still represents a modern measure which enables the most intensive way of using agricultural areas.
