Abstract

Farmers work the most in the spring – ploughmen prepare the soil for sowing grains and industrial crops, vegetable growers sow and transplant different vegetable varieties, and it is similar in the production of flowers. There is work to do in orchards too – pruning and fertilization are done, but one of the most important jobs in fruit growing is done in the fall, and it is planting fruit trees. Even though fruit trees can be planted in spring as well, planting in the fall still has certain advantages over the spring planting, as in continental areas, so in coastal ones too. Planting time starts since 15 November up until weather conditions allow.
