Acknowledged cultivars of agricultural plants of Bc Institute d.d. Zagreb in foreign countries

Abstract

Breeding programs of Bc Institute gave numerous cultivars which are acknowledged and used in agricultural practice of not only Croatia but also abroad as well. The highest number of Bc cultivars abroad is in the area of the EU, and then follow countries in the process of EU accession.
The most significant by the number of registration and circumference of commercial seed growing abroad are Bc corn hybrids (production and trade of seed).
Except in the European market, the expansion and registration of Bc cultivars proceeds in other markets as well, so testing and commercialization are also conducted in the countries of Central Asia.
In satisfying market needs in seed of Bc creations, we rely on the domestic production by keeping in mind the strictest EU quality standards in terms of satisfying all biological and technical- technological criteria.
