Abstract

UREA as a 46% nitrogenous fertilizer can be easily applied in a vineyard for nutrition of crops as a basic fertilization or a reinforced nutrition, in order to meet the needs of crops for nitrogen. In our case, after the performed experiment, the quantity of UREA from 140 kg per acre gave the best results regarding crops and the quality of grapes as opposed to the standard use of KAN or increasing the quantity of UREA to 240 kg per acre.
As a summary of these results, we can recommend to our wine- growers to use UREA in their vineyards in the quantity from 130 – 150 kg per acre, because by that they can achieve the highest crops and have a good grape quality. Phenophase of the best use of UREA in a vineyard is when the green shoots are around 20 cm long, and little bunches of grapes are already formed and visible.
