Abstract

The paper deals with the development of old length (quantity) in Slavic languages. Maintaining and shortening of the old length in all positions is being analyzed in detail -when accented (under acute, circumflex or neoacute intonation) considering the number of syllables, before the accent and after the accent considering the number of syllables and accentual paradigm
